High
School Open House and Pizza Party
- High School students are invited to
spend an evening exploring the musical opportunities available at St. John’s!
Beginning at 6:30 pm Tuesday, August 26, students will have a chance to ring
handbells, sing through several choir selections and if they play an instrument,
play together as a group. The evening will conclude with a pizza party. All
high school youth and their friends are invited to come and have a good time.
The evening will conclude at 8:30 pm.
The Music Ministry will gather for a Family Fall Kick-off Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 6:30 pm in Founder’s Hall.
Drinks and table service will be provided! Bring the entire family and plenty of food to share!
If you are interested in singing, ringing or playing in any of the St. John's Ensemble, plan to attend.
If you know anyone who might be interested in singing, ringing or playing with us, be sure to invite them.
This will be a GREAT way to start off a GREAT Season of Music!!
Mr. Scott Osbourn will teach a six week guitar class beginning Tuesday,
September 2 at 6:30 pm. Open to All (grades 5 through Adults) this course is
designed to introduce the guitar. There is no cost to attend this class but you
must furnish your own guitar. You must pre-register for the class by August 26.

Introduction
to Handbells -
Have you ever wondered what handbells
were all about? Now you have your chance to find out. Beginning Tuesday,
September 2 at 7:30 pm and running for 4 Tuesday evenings an “Introduction to
Handbells” class will be offered. This is an excellent opportunity to learn how
to ring handbells. No musical knowledge is needed - you’ll be taught everything
you need to know. Why not take this opportunity to explore this exciting
musical instrument?
