Hey, let's hit the road and venture to Patterson, Missouri. After a 2 hour drive, we will find another gem of a state park, Sam A. Baker. This is an absolutely beautiful park for this year's family camp. Family camp is for anyone and everyone. If you don't have a family, you will be welcome and adopted.

We arrive Friday afternoon and evening. After the camp fires are lit, we will come together for an evening devotion time.

Saturday is set aside for your family activities like hiking, canoeing, swimming, or fishing or just unplugging from the world. We will come together Saturday night for hamburgers, hot dogs and sweet corn.

Sunday breakfast sizzingly and cooking will bring you out of your tents. After a worship service, we have an entire afternoon of activites and fun. Sunday evening dinner will be pork steaks, baked potatoes and more. Then the contests begin. Who will win the Best Dressed Campsite awards. And who will win this Year's Lack of Talent Contest!

Monday, we will break camp after a quick camp'ntal breakfast.

Directions to Patterson, Mo
From Arnold, Sam A. Baker is approximately 1 hour 50 minutes. Travel south on I-55 just past Festus where you merge onto US-67 South at Exit 174B toward Bonne Terre/Farmington. After Festus, travel 82 miles to Missouri 34 where you will turn west or right for 4 miles to Missouri 143. Turning right at MO-143, you will go another 5 miles to park. We are in campground 2. Individual Camp Sites
We have reserved 18 Campground 2 sites with electicity and water. We will be including tent, travel trailers, pop-up campers, and other wheeled camping vehicles at each of the 18 sites. Each site can accommodate 2 "roofs".

Our sites are 115, 116, 117, 118, 121, 125, 142, 143, 151, 162, 163, 164, 165, 168, 169, 170, 171, and 172.


Additional Lodging Options
Sam A. Baker State Park has 18 rustic cabins made of native stone and wood with modern conveniences. Most have fireplaces, kitchens, full baths, heating and air-conditioning, outside grills, firepits and picnic tables. They are equipped with bedding, towels and kitchen utensils.

Canoeing and Rafting
Canoeing and rafting are very popular park activities. Canoes and rafts can be rented at the park. Rental prices include shuttle, transportation back, paddles and life jackets.

Canoes $40.00 for 2 people
(Additional $5.00 for 3rd person)

Fishing
Fishing at Sam A Baker is permitted. Fishing permits can be purchased at the Park Store.
